Membership has its benefits

There's no better way to make an impact in our community than to join EACGC and support our Garden! Join now and grow with us.

As a member of Emerson Avenue Community Garden, you are supporting and becoming an integral part of a grassroots organization. With member support, our club is able to continue developing a strong, sustainable garden, serving as a community hub and educational and activity center.

Annual membership dues are $25 per individual. Your membership fee helps to support the Garden and keep it a vital part of the Westchester community for all to enjoy and use.

Benefits of being a Garden member include:

  • Access the Garden during regular hours
  • Access to the Community Herb and Vegetable Garden
  • Access to the common areas of the Garden. Enjoy strolling through the  Monarch Way Station, the Native Garden, and the Pollinator gardens
  • Opportunities for learning at educational classes and activities held in the Garden at no cost or reduced cost depending on the activity
  • Access to the Club website which includes the Calendar of Events, informational resources and blogs
  • Participation in Community Volunteer Workdays which provide stress reduction, a sense of achievement by providing service to the community, and the enjoyment of working outdoors in the fresh air
  • Making new friends who share a love of gardening and the community

If you are interested in renting a plot, Garden membership is required to be added to the waiting list, and must be renewed each calendar year. Wait times can vary depending on the number of members on the waiting list. Currently the wait time is approximately one year. We offer full size plots (appx 225 SF) and half size plots (appx 115SF).

We hope you will learn more about our organization, become a regular participant in the Garden, join us on Community Volunteer Days (first Saturday of each month) and attend educational workshops and other fun activities that take place regularly in the Garden.  We also ask you to join a committee and volunteer your time and expertise to ensure the continued success of EACGC. Many hands make light work!

Thank you for your interest in Emerson Avenue Community Garden Club. We look forward to getting to know you.
