Pollinator and Bee gardens
Butterfly gardens don't just attract butterflies. Every butterfly garden is a pollinator garden too, because hummingbirds, bees and other beneficial pollinators are attracted to many of the same flowers that butterflies are. Not just any plant will attract pollinators to your yard; you need to include species with nectar-rich flowers, such as black-eyed susans, butterfly bush, coneflowers, and yarrow.
The Emerson Avenue Garden has several pollinator gardens scattered around the property.
