Educational programs are conducted several times a year, ranging from basic gardening topics, pest control, water conservation, soil amendment, composting,  and other planting topics. Programs are open to the public.

 Basic gardening classes are conducted by  EACGC’s four master gardeners, and help get new plotholders started off on the right foot. Topics include:

• How to start seeds, save seeds,  and plant seedlings
• Propagation methods
• How to properly plan and plant a garden
• Harvesting – when and how
• Food preservation  techniques
